Late Cretaceous radiolarians from the Noni Formation, West Timor, Indonesia

چکیده

Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian–Turonian) radiolarian fauna was recovered from a single chert sample of the Noni Formation in Miomaffo District West Timor, which is generally viewed as part allochthonous ‘Banda Terrane’. This characterized by presence Cryptamphorella conara, Diacantocapsa euganea, Dictyomitra formosa, montisserei, Guttacapsa biacuta, Stichomitra communis, Patelula verteroensis, Pessagnobrachia fabianii, Praeconocaryomma lipmanae and others. The character shows close resemblance to those South Sulawesi very different age-equivalent faunas ‘autochthonous’ southern foldbelts Timor (Kolbano) Leste (Viqueque). report on radiolarians attempts identify fauna, clarify its age, indicate paleogeographic origin radiolarian-bearing Formation.
